The above is on YouTube. It's a 'story' about Robert and me. I created this photo montage as a celebration of our 13th wedding anniversary on April 25, 2012. We were married in 1999 and in April of 2014 we will celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Robert promises that we will do something momentous for this occasion. You will notice the photographic references to Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, and Spencer Tracy/ Katherine Hepburn characters in their movies. He sees us in the same manner: he as the sweet but crusty riverboat captain, and me as the prim spinster OR, the two characters that Tracy/Hepburn played, where they were the smart couple whose bantering dialogue expresses their intellect, wit and, as it turns out, genuine love for each other. We love to watch those old movies, as we see so much of ourselves in the characters.

Have you ever wished you could 'go back' about 40 years and do everything over...differently? Make different educational choices, career choices, pursue different relationships? Well, that's where I am. And over the past few weeks I have been hearing this song on the radio (below). Since I was not catching all of the words, I did a Google search, and found the lyrics and YouTube video. It has some great words. Maybe it's not too late.

I'm tired
I'm worn
My heart is heavy
From the work it takes to keep on breathing
I've made mistakes
I've let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed
By the weight of this world
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left
Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Cause I'm worn
I know I need
To lift my eyes up
But I'm too weak
Life just won't let up
And I know that You can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left
Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Cause I'm worn
And my prayers are wearing thin
I'm worn even before the day begins
I'm worn I've lost my will to fight
I'm worn so heaven come and flood my eyes
Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Yes all that's dead inside will be reborn
Though I'm worn
Yeah I'm worn
